John Michel - President & CEO
John Michel creates and executes the overall strategic direction and management of Bullrun Financial, and works directly with the company's global accounts. He has consistently created new financial services spanning all channels. Most recently, he developed and managed Merrill Lynch Direct, the firm's award-winning online brokerage service. During his 13 years with Merrill, Michel built the firm's direct advice and guidance telephone channel, led the client marketing and segmentation group, next-generation marketing, and retirement plans and services. Michel began his career as an executive in the company's national sales group. Before that, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, and earned his Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Michel holds a Master of Science, Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
Gary Moody - Chief Information Officer
Gary joined Bullrun Financial Inc. in January 2002 after seven years with Merrill Lynch and Co. At Merrill Lynch, Gary held a variety of management positions including Director of Client Information Management for US Private Client. Under Gary's direction, the CIM team made substantial progress in establishing a client database, improving management and staff access to the data through the data warehouse and using intelligence about clients to prompt proper client communications in Merrill Lynch call centers. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Gary served in the United States Army, retiring in 1995. Among his many career assignments was a three year fellowship with the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, CA. Gary is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point and obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Operation Research, Systems Analysis from Georgia Institute of Technology.
David Rossien – Chief Technology Officer
David is responsible for managing our Applications
Development teams both in the U.S. and abroad, as
well as for the day-to-day operations of Bullrun’s
software-as-service products. He also directs
strategic and tactical plans and development for the
firm's technology infrastructure and production
environment. Prior to joining Bullrun, David was
Chief Administrative Officer of Adventis, a
management consulting firm specializing in the
telecommunications and digital media industries. As
CAO he was responsible for directing global IT,
telecom and operations, and oversaw the firm’s
worldwide HR, facilities, research and
administrative organizations. Previously he served
as Senior Technical Director at Epsilon Data
Management, where he managed the development of Very
Large Databases (VLDBs) for the firm’s financial
services and retail sales clients. He has also
served as Vice President of IT at North American
Security Life (now Manulife Financial) and Fidelity
Investments. His financial services experience began
at Merrill Lynch, where he worked for more than a
decade as Vice President of Operations, Systems and
Telecommunications. There he was responsible for
creating the firm’s first Customer Relationship
Management system as well as the first portfolio
management and financial planning applications for
retail clients. David earned graduate and
undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and
Electrical Engineering from the University of
Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of
Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Ed Baker - Chief Investment Officer of Emerging
Markets Equities, AllianceBernstein.
Mr. Baker is currently the Chief Investment Officer
of Emerging Markets AllianceBernstein. Previously he
served as the CEO of Alliance Capital Ltd. Prior to
joining Alliance in 1995, Mr. Baker worked for BARRA,
Inc., an investment technology firm. He joined BARRA
in 1978 and became Director of Marketing in 1986, a
position he held until 1992. Mr. Baker earned a B.A.
from the University of South Florida and a M.A. from
the University of California at Berkeley, where he
was a Regents Fellow. He has also completed work
towards a Ph.D. in both mathematics and finance.
Currently, Mr. Baker is a member of the Board of
Directors of The Investment Management Consultants
Association and Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of
Investment Consulting.
Mark Goines
Mr. Goines spent ten years with Intuit, most recently as Senior Vice President & General Manager of the consumer division (Quicken). From 1996 to 1998, he was Senior Vice President & General Manager of the company.s international division. From 1991 to 1996, he was VP & General Manager of the Personal Tax division (TurboTax). Previously, he spent seven years as Vice President, Product Marketing at Charles Schwab & Co. and seven years as Vice President, Consumer Marketing at Crocker Bank. Goines holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. He also sits on the board of eFinance Corporation, Nolo Press, and BenefitStreet.
Robert Kibble
Mr. Kibble is a founding Managing Partner of Mission Ventures, a San Diego-based early-stage venture capital fund with over $280 million under management. Mission Ventures invests in information technology, Internet and business service companies throughout Southern California. Mr. Kibble was a founding partner of a Bay Area venture capital firm, Paragon Venture Partners, for 16 years, and prior to that he was Vice President of Citicorp Ventures Capital. Prior to Citicorp, he was an investment banker on Wall Street. Mr. Kibble is currently a director of a number of private companies, including BizRate.com, Bullrun Financial, and DispenseSource. Mr. Kibble holds an MA from Oxford and an MBA from the Darden School, University of Virginia.
Thomas F. Mann - Managing Director and Head of
the Financial Institutions Group of Société Générale
Mr. Mann manages SG's activities with insurance
companies, banks, finance companies, asset managers,
funds and hedge funds in the Western Hemisphere. He
joined SG in 2005 when it acquired Constellation
Financial Management, which he co-founded. At CFM he
was in charge of business planning and management,
sales, finance, technology and administration. Prior
to starting CFM, Mr. Mann served five years as Vice
President and Chief Strategist of both the Equitable
Parent Holding Company and the Investment Holding
Company before being promoted to SVP of Human
Resources. He was also affiliated with Sperry
Corporation (1983-1986), serving as assistant
controller - at the Executive Office - and as the
Director of Business Development for Defense and
Aerospace, and Computer Systems. Mr. Mann spent the
first eleven years of his career at Chase Bank
serving in various executive, entrepreneurial and
financial positions for fee based investment
services rising to the level of Vice President and
Division Executive of the quantitatively based
Financial Advisory Services Group. He is presently
an independent director of AIP Alternative
Strategies Fund, and chairs the valuation committee.
Mr. Mann graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS degree
from the State University of New York (Albany). He
possesses an MBA from New York University and a JD
from Fordham Law School where he remains engaged as
a member of the Dean’s Planning Council.
Additionally, he completed the Advanced Management
Program at Harvard Business School. He is a member
of the New York State Bar Association, the New York
Society of Security Analysts, and is a Chartered
Financial Analyst.

John Ricciardi - Founder, Bullrun Financial, Inc.
John Ricciardi is a former Senior Vice President at
Alliance Capital Management LP, where he served as
head of the firm’s Global Asset Allocation group. He
founded Bullrun in 2000 as a platform for fund
management, drawing on his 27 years of investment
experience. Ricciardi is based in Arundel Iveagh’s
London offices As partner in a French consulting
firm he co-founded Cursitor Management, one of the
first international firms to provide top-down,
global asset allocation investment products. He has
made his career as an investment strategist and
director of research, integrating quantitative and
qualitative techniques into active allocation
portfolios for both global fixed-income and global
equity mandates. Ricciardi holds a BA from Rutgers
College, studied Semiotics at the University of
Paris-Sorbonne and Chinese Language and Culture at
L’Institut National des Langues et Civilisations
Orientales, and attended graduate school in
Economics at the University of London-Birkbeck
College.
Dale Stevens - President, Grasswood Partners and Chairman, Ten Asset Management
Mr. Stevens has over twenty-five years of consulting experience serving as a director and partner of the consulting firms of Wilshire Associates and Wurts and Associates prior to founding Grasswood Partners and Ten Asset Management. Mr. Stevens has served on numerous industry organizations and task force groups, including a two-year term as the President of the Investment Management Consulting Association (IMCA). He received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and an M.S. in Applied Statistics from Ohio State University. He has published in the Journal of Portfolio Management and holds CIMA designation as well as NASD Series 7, 22, 24, 63, and 65 licenses.
Lawrence Tint - Chairman of Quantal
International.
Mr. Tint is Chairman of Quantal International, a
pioneer in the development of global “hybrid”
multi-factor models for stocks and Government bond
returns. Prior to this Mr. Tint was Vice-Chairman of
Barclays Global Investors (BGI). Before joining BGI,
he served as President of Sharpe-Tint, Inc., an
investment management and consulting company
specializing in asset allocation for large
institutional investors, which he started together
with the Nobel winning economist William F. Sharpe.
Mr. Tint’s industry experience includes a variety of
senior research and development roles at Trust
Company of the West, Wilshire Associates and Merrill
Lynch. He received his AB in economics from
Haverford College, and his MBA in finance and
operations research from the Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Tint is a member of
the Haverford College Board of Managers, and chairs
the Haverford College Finance Committee. He is also
a member of the Claremont College Master of
Financial Engineering Board.
